Citizens Advice are pleased to announce that we have received funding from the Mayor of London under the Family Financial Resilience Partnership, a new programme expanding access to free, high-quality advice for families with children who are struggling financially.
From 13th January, parents and carers of children up to age 19, or 25 for those with special education needs or disabilities, will be able to receive advice in Family Hubs in Southwark. The advice will cover a range of specialist and generalist issues including benefit entitlement, debt, housing, childcare, disability, immigration advice and referrals for employment support.
The Family Financial Resilience Partnership is a new partnership programme between the Greater London Authority, London Citizens Advice and the London Legal Support Trust, working with 12 London boroughs and 26 advice agencies to deliver targeted, coordinated and holistic support for families with children who are struggling financially. Through this Partnership, families will be able to receive trusted, independent advice, helping them access the support they need at the right time.
We’re proud to be able to provide this much-needed support for families with children in our community. High-quality advice can make a real difference by helping families increase their income, manage essential costs, and secure better outcomes for their children.
