Three years with the Advising Londoners Project

We have had a successful 3 years with the Advising Londoners Project since 2022, increasing our ability to support clients with welfare benefits, debt, housing, employment and immigration issues. The project was run as a partnership across London, funded by the GLA and we have helped more than 85k people with more than £40 million worth of financial increases. We have used this project to allow us to create new partnerships across the borough, linking with different community and faith agencies. We have also trained up frontline workers from other organisations, increasing knowledge on social welfare rights, resources and options for clients.

Department for Energy Security Net Zero Filming at CAS

Recently we agreed to a request from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) to do some filming at our Walworth office. This was to create social media content to support their announcement later in the week on improving energy efficiency in the private rented sector following their launching the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) consultation to update regulation in the PRS from the current EPC E minimum to EPC C. the consultation is supported by National Citizens Advice who have been calling for action on the issue for a long time.
